PinkTower was born from a mother's need to feel connected to her children — and shaped by more than 40 years of family experience in education.
A separation that was hard
When co-founder Ehime Eigbe's first child was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, she did not begin school until she was almost one. Her second child, however, had to start school much earlier while Ehime was recovering from an injury. Ehime wanted more than occasional updates — she wanted a meaningful window into her child's day, so she could follow his development and know he was safe, happy and thriving.
A much larger challenge
Ehime's parents have operated schools for more than four decades, and through her role on their school board she had seen how fragmented systems, demanding administrative processes and communication gaps affected both educators and families. The same technology that could give parents peace of mind could also help schools run better.
Three people, one product
Ehime developed the concept with Imhoertha, her cousin, co-founder and a software developer. Together they shaped the product, and later welcomed a third co-founder with experience operating education technology companies across Africa.

Combining personal experience with expertise in education, technology and school operations, the team created PinkTower — a platform built specifically for African schools and the families they serve.
